The Glen Echo Folkdancers (formerly Foggy Bottom Folkdancers) started in 1983 at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Foggy Bottom. The church required substantial repairs and we had to move, eventually landing at the Church of the Redeemer, where we danced until December 2019. In all these years we have maintained a very welcoming atmosphere, lots of great music and dancing, occasional parties (sometimes with live music), and, most importantly, great people to share an evening with. Plan to have a wonderful time, learn some dances, listen to some wild music, and meet some new friends. No partner is necessary. No skill is needed. Dress comfortably. Smile. If you would like to be added to our email list and receive notices of upcoming events, please email Jamie. For more folkdancing in the DC area, go to the links page.
