Kaleidoscope is a new, innovative Contra and English Country Dance band based in NYC. The quartet features Minda Cowen on contra and English fiddle, Dominique Gagné on Brazilian jazz influenced flutes, piano and vocals, renowned New England composer Larry Unger (featured on recent Ken Burns documentaries) on guitar, banjo,and jaw harp, and Marco Brehm (Grand Picnic, Brooklyn Swing Ensemble) on upright bass.
Get ready to hear trad New England fiddle tunes, Celtic airs, fiery Brazilian Choros, mesmerizing Piazzolla tangos, Latin, Blues, as well as Larry Unger’s best loved tunes.
