The Second Floor is a captivating new dance band from Somerville, MA, who happen to be 3 roommates who live on…you guessed it, the second floor. They’ve been wowing dancers all over New England and now they’re bringing their special brand of youthful exuberance to DC!The band features Abe Joyner-Meyers (fiddle), Steven Bluestein (woodwinds), and Cecily Mills (cello). They welcome the inestimable piano stylings of Robert Mills as their guest of honor.Janine Smith calls the figures, so expect her usual offerings of upbeat contras, a singing square, and maybe a few shenanigans to round out the afternoon.
